Gold Associates was founded in 1992 as a graphic arts consulting agency specializing in high technology and workflow solutions for the commercial printing industry. He has aided industry manufacturers, suppliers, and printers in defining strategic direction, implementing production and management tools, and supported corporate executives with his technical understanding and experience for over 35 years.
35 Years of Industry Dedication
Before founding the company in 1992, Gold already was well known as a speaker and teacher in the printing industry. In 1993 he joined Color Publishing and Electronic Publishing as Contributing Technology Editor writing “Trends” and “What’s New” until the magazine ceased publishing in 2006. As a consultant, he has supported the efforts of numerous industry leaders. He provided expert guidance to The Franklin Mint in their assessment of digital technology, while managing the process of equipment acquisition, installation and training. Gold has also consulted to Kodak, International Paper, Scitex, Creo, and Xerox to name a few.
United Marketing Solutions
In 2004, Gold was named Vice President of Production for United Marketing Solutions, a franchisor in the direct mail marketing business. UMS produces over 21 million cooperative coupon envelopes a year with approximately 750 million coupons and other printed offers. Under Gold’s leadership, the customer service department was integrated into the production department to provide a seamless information, design and production workflow for both the company and franchises’ benefit.
