CV Labels Ltd uses Label Traxx MIS

Press release from the issuing company

Milwaukee, WI, March 19, 2008 -- CV Labels, a Label Traxx customer in Irvine, Scotland, has attained the prestigious and complex PS9000 certification, which regulates the production of medical and pharmaceutical labels in the European Union.  CV Labels is the only label manufacturer in Scotland to achieve the standard. The certification addresses the fact that a significant proportion of safety recalls of medicines are attributable to faulty packaging.  Essential to the certification, according to CV Labels Managing Director Bob Veitch, was the company's Label Traxx print business management software, installed in 2007.  Veitch commented: "Obtaining the PS9000 certification necessitated completely overhauling our management and quality control systems, as well as our physical plant.  Segregation cells were created to control medical and pharmaceutical label production, and procedures were put in place to ensure that all labels and materials are fully accounted for.  In addition, artwork and design must be strictly documented through to plate storage and detailed hygiene, cleanliness and maintenance programs are required."

Label Traxx was key to the company's success throughout the audit, explains Veitch: "Label Traxx provided complete traceability for all materials used on our job tickets with unique roll identification, including dies and tooling.  The software also enabled us to quickly create the inspection forms required for compliance, and our ability to document production schedules made certification much easier.  Since its installation, Label Traxx has enabled us to manage our business much more professionally, from enquiry to delivery."

Label Traxx Business Development Manager Katy Wight comments: "The tools which CV Labels found so important in their PS9000 certification process are really fundamental to Label Traxx.  We provide a software program which is strictly tailored to the workflow of self-adhesive label printers and converters, regardless of the markets which they serve.  With more than 15 years experience in the market, we can offer a proven route to streamline operations, eliminate errors and reduce overheads.  CV Labels' certification proves that Label Traxx can meet the needs of the industry's most demanding end users."
