Press release from the issuing company

FALLS CHURCH, VA, Nov 12, 2007 -- Aptara, Inc., a global leader in integrated content transformation solutions, today announced an agreement with Bowne & Co., Inc. on a multi-year contract extension. The extension has a minimum aggregate value of $29 million and will cover a broad range of composition and data conversion services. Aptara has provided these services exclusively to Bowne since November 2002.
"Bowne originally selected Aptara because of its proven track record as a BPO provider to content rich businesses," said William Penders, President and COO, Bowne Financial Communications. "This extension is a result of the continuing success of our strategic relationship as well as its technological leadership in XML solutions which we look to tap into as our industry transitions to XBRL deliverables."
Bowne provides financial, marketing and business communications services around the world. Dealmakers around the world rely on Bowne to handle critical transactional communications with the greatest possible speed and accuracy. Founded in 1775, it is the second most senior company on the New York Stock Exchange and the world's largest financial printing company.
"Bowne is the leader in financial printing and we're very pleased to have the company extend its contract with Aptara," said Ranjit Singh, President and CEO of Aptara. "Our relationship has grown significantly over the past five years, and we will continue to meet Bowne's rigorous services requirements by leveraging our expertise and global outsourcing model. This extension exemplifies that the relationship between our two companies has grown from a supplier vendor to a strategic one."
