Press release from the issuing company

Toronto (Graphics Canada - Booth #3412) - November 8, 2007 - Agfa Graphics announced today that Kempenfelt Graphics, a leading graphic communications company in Eastern Canada, is the first commercial customer in Canada to use Agfa's :Energy Elite no-bake plate. Kempenfelt is already using the plate on press runs throughout the day that often exceed a half-million impressions.
:Energy Elite, which was honoured with an InterTech Technology Award earlier this year, provides up to 500,000 impressions without baking (up to one million baked) using an advanced, patented emulsion technology that tolerates variations in exposure and processing.
"Our experience with the newly-installed Agfa :Energy Elite plate system is that quality has improved. We now enjoy the highest resolution with a robust thermal plate that delivers long runs without post-baking," said Dino Sinnathurai, prepress manager at Kempenfelt.
"Kempenfelt is the first :Energy Elite customer in Canada. The plate received excellent revues in beta testing and is currently in controlled sales," said Jack Baraczek, director of Agfa Graphics, Canada. ":Energy Elite will help many Canadian printers achieve unbeatable press performance in extended press runs."
:Energy Elite has excellent chemical resistance and delivers superb press performance with a wide variety of inks, including UV and hybrid. It recently won an InterTech Technology Award from the Printing Industries Association of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF) for its technical innovation.
Kempenfelt Graphics, in business for more than 30 years, has 85 employees and is one of the top single-source graphic communications providers in Ontario.
