American Printware and FMAudit Co-announce their Technology Partnership

Press release from the issuing company

San Juan Capistrano, CA, - March 21, 2007 – APWI, a leading supplier of High Volume Print Shop Data Stream management tools, and FMAudit have announced their Strategic Alliance to better serve their respective customers. The two companies will work together to offer a logical and seamless progression between FMAudit’s Data Collection tools, and APWI’s newly announced RoutXpress, for Windows networks. FMAudit’s superior Data Collection tools offer the reseller and end user a complete suite of software that provide the end user with the information they need to know how much they are printing, and the associated cost. The logical next step for the end user is to use this information to better utilize the printing assets that they already have on their network. APWI’s RoutXpress is such a tool. RoutXpress allows the network administrator to establish and set the rules that they wish to govern and manage all the print jobs on their network. The rules can be modified, added to, or eliminated at any time. The rules will govern the intelligent routing service provided by RoutXpress. Automatic routing when a printer is, busy printing a large job, out of paper, out of toner, or if there is a paper jam, just to name a few. RoutXpress’ network management tools also provide for Alert Messages, such as IM and E-Mails to be sent according to network conditions. For example; if RoutXpress sends a print job to a better printer an IM is sent to the user notifying them which printer their print job was sent to, if a printer runs out of paper or toner – an email is sent to the appropriate person, if the printer is down or offline – an email can be sent to the on-site service person’s BlackBerry alerting them to which printer is down. Remember, even though a printer may be down, and RoutXpress is alerting the appropriate person, it is also routing all print jobs intended for the down printer to a printer that is up and running. “The combination of FMAudit’s products and APWI’s RoutXpress will provide our resellers with a complete solution that will be easy to install and setup”, stated Bob Meyer, VP of Sales and Marketing for APWI. “FMAudit’s Rapid Print Assessment will provide the cost assessment information that will result in the customer wanting a network print management tool, and RoutXpress is that tool”. “We see this relationship as another key step toward our goal of being the go-to supplier to all resellers that want to truly offer “Total Solutions” to their customers”.
