Anacomp and Pitney Bowes Sign Strategic Alliance Agreement

Press release from the issuing company

SAN DIEGO and STAMFORD, Conn., Nov. 6 2007 -- Anacomp Inc., a leading business process solutions company, today announced a strategic alliance agreement with Pitney Bowes Legal Solutions (PBLS), a leading provider of electronic discovery and corporate compliance solutions. PBLS is a division of Pitney Bowes Management Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pitney Bowes. Through the alliance, Anacomp will incorporate PBLS' advanced e-Discovery and processing capabilities as part of its CaseLogistix litigation support solution, greatly expanding the footprints of both companies within the legal market. In addition, the firms will collaborate and engage on various joint go-to-market activities to develop opportunities in the litigation realm.
"We're excited to offer our law firm and corporate counsel customers the enhanced litigation processing capabilities that are available through this alliance," said Wayne Ford, Anacomp's Senior Vice President of Marketing, Channels, and Strategic Alliances. "We look forward to working with PBLS on all business fronts, including the product development side to investigate possible bundled services to our joint customer base in the future."
"We're pleased to team with Anacomp to further expand our legal solutions offerings to a broader base of current and prospective customers," said Dave Hutchinson, President of PBLS. "Our combined offerings help customers streamline litigation document workflows, empower them with discovery information at their fingertips, eliminate processing bottlenecks and reduce the costs and risks associated with litigation document processing and discovery."
The alliance enhances CaseLogistix' ability to quickly collect, review, and produce digital evidence. The additional capabilities offer legal users an online repository and review system that features:
- Flexible delivery options (TIFF, PDF, Metadata, Text, Native files, MailArchive)
- formats delivered in any combination based upon client requirements
- Defensibility -- strict chain-of-custody and automated processing
- Cost Control -- data sampling, expert consultation, and daily reporting
- Reporting -- comprehensive suite of automated reports that provide full media and file-level accountability
- Client Services -- 24/7 project management from project setup through completion
- Training -- continuing legal education programs
PBLS has a successful history of providing electronic discovery services to law firms and corporations involved in large-scale litigation, white collar criminal defense, and mergers and acquisitions. With its acquisition last year of Ibis Consulting, Inc. and through the company's patent-pending data-to-image conversion processes, PBLS converts electronic documents and e-mail into uniform images that are loadable into document management systems for expedited discovery. In addition, PBLS' service offerings, data culling solutions and data packaging options allow clients to cost-effectively control their data and meet a variety of processing and production requirements.
CaseLogistix is the most powerful and versatile litigation solution available today, providing a complete system for electronic document organization, annotation, discovery management, and publication. Available as a desktop version or via an on-demand, hosted environment, CaseLogistix allows legal teams to quickly collect, review, and produce any amount of digital evidence using an interface similar to that of Microsoft Outlook. Combined with Anacomp's docHarbor document management platform, business process management services, and secure high-speed scanning and conversion services, CaseLogistix provides law firms and corporate legal departments with one-stop access to the broadest litigation management Solutions as a Service in the legal industry.
