HP Appoints Ron Coughlin to Lead Worldwide Marketing for Imaging and Printing Group

PALO ALTO, Calif.-- HP today announced the appointment of Ron Coughlin as senior vice president of worldwide marketing for the company's Imaging and Printing Group, by July 23.

Coughlin, 41, will be based in San Diego and have responsibility for driving the group's marketing strategy, planning and execution on a global basis across all customer segments and the group's five business units. This includes responsibility for customer, market and strategic planning, marketing operations, worldwide sales, communications and development of go-to-market assets.

Coughlin comes to HP from PepsiCo, where he was most recently senior vice president and chief marketing officer of the company's international beverage business.

"Ron is an outstanding leader with extensive experience driving transformational marketing programs and practices for complex global organizations," said Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president, Imaging and Printing Group, HP. "His impressive track record for delivering results and driving global execution is an important complement to our business."

Coughlin was responsible for the marketing function for PepsiCo's international beverage business, with more than $10 billion in system sales, including the Pepsi, 7UP, Tropicana, Gatorade, Aquafina and SoBe brands. Under his leadership, the business delivered double-digit revenue growth behind an aggressive transformation of the portfolio as well as the company's basic marketing model.

Coughlin holds a bachelor of arts in international marketing from Lehigh University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
