QuadTech at GRAPH EXPO 2007

Press release from the issuing company

July 13, 2007 -- QuadTech will be attending GRAPH EXPO 2007 in Chicago, September 9th-12th. Experts will be on-hand at Booth 421 to discuss products that have been specifically designed to boost productivity for newspaper, commercial, publications gravure and packaging printers.
Experienced QuadTech executives will be available to help guide printers in choosing the best solution possible for their challenges. The issues faced by today’s newspaper, commercial, publications gravure and packaging printers fall into several basic categories: saving waste, increasing productivity and performance of the presses and increasing profitability.
QuadTech provides solutions for printers, large or small, with a wide range of tried and tested auxiliary press equipment which rises to the challenges of the modern printing process and provides a rapid return on investment.
Don’t take our word for it; listen to what our customers have to say!
The nature of the printing industry is such that companies are always on the lookout for opportunities to improve product quality and achieve cost reductions through working in partnership with their suppliers. QuadTech’s customers are perhaps the best spokespeople for the company, giving an insight as to what prospective customers can gain from investing in QuadTech equipment, as Chad Czarnecki, Director of Operations, Royle Printing testifies:
“Like us, QuadTech has always been dedicated to producing a high quality product. We’ve been delighted with the support and insight they’ve shared with us. The company is a great resource for our industry.”
Dome Printing is a long-term QuadTech customer, and Andy Poole, Vice President of Manufacturing, commented “QuadTech shares our philosophy of innovation and pushing technology to its limits. It is extremely proactive in its after-sales service and keeps in regular touch, ensuring that any important issues are addressed immediately.”
Award Winning Pictorial Offset has recently installed several of QuadTech’s systems; it has already noticed an increase in productivity and is looking to the future. Gary Samuels, Managing Partner commented:
“We have two MAN sheetfed presses, and we’re now considering adding QuadTech’s Color Control System with Instrument Flight to those presses as well. In the short time we’ve had Instrument Flight working on the Goss Sunday 2000 press, we’ve reduced our makeready waste by 50% on some jobs.”
Market pressures are forcing other printers to expand into lateral markets and seek new revenue streams; Bliss Communications is one such company. Currently printing a range of newspaper titles, it installed one of QuadTech’s most popular auxiliaries, the Register Guidance System with MultiCam as well as the Ribbon Control System with MultiCam. Chuck Flynn, Vice President and Technical Director, Bliss Communications, comments:
“Many newspaper printing companies are undertaking commercial work as the cost of newsprint rises. Consequently, this sector has become very competitive. We expect that our new QuadTech press controls will help us compete for commercial printing business that we couldn’t handle before.”
Quality control is a key factor in attracting new commercial business, and pivotal in keeping waste newspaper copies to a minimum. Flynn predicts the QuadTech press controls will help significantly.
“The QuadTech equipment will automatically hold register throughout the run. Not only will this make us more productive by reducing waste copies, it will also free up our press staff.”
Many of the USA’s most successful printers attribute their success, in part, to the QuadTech equipment that they have installed on their printing presses.
Ingo Fockler, Operations Manager, Villages Daily Sun concludes, “Automation is a key factor in increasing productivity. Because the QuadTech equipment helps automate the printing process, we will need less staff attending to the press on each job, freeing operators to work on other things. I am looking forward to the benefits that this will bring in terms of increased productivity at our plant.”
Visit Booth 421 to find out how QuadTech’s approach to streamlining the printing process can help your business become more productive, increase performance and become more profitable.
