IGI Offers Press Fingerprinting Course

Press release from the issuing company

Pewaukee, Wisconsin -- The Institute for Graphics and Imaging (IGI)—an education and training organization funded by and dedicated to the printing and graphic arts industry—has announced a two-day training course on offset press fingerprinting.  The course will be held on September 2 and 3, 2009, and will be conducted by Ken Peterson, a highly regarded specialist in offset press fingerprinting and calibration, color management, and stochastic screening.  The course will be directed at production managers, quality control specialists, prepress and pressroom personnel, and vendors who support pressroom color and quality.  Course details and registration forms may be found at www.igi.org/events_calendar/.

Announcing the new course, IGI Executive Director Ron Dahl commented: “Offset Press Fingerprinting is a critical element of producing consistent color quality in the pressroom.  IGI is pleased to make Ken Peterson available to printers in the upper Midwest for a two-day seminar that will take the mystery out of press fingerprinting once and for all.”
