UNIMAC Awarded G7 Master Printer Qualification

Press release from the issuing company

Carlstadt, NJ – UNIMAC Graphics a diversified graphics communications company delivering world-class services in print production, and an integrated marketing services provider, announced today that the company earned the distinguished G7 Master Printer Qualification from IDEAlliance.

The IDEAlliance G7 Masters qualification program identifies those printing companies who have been trained in the new G7 Proof-to-Print Process of calibrating its equipment and systems to G7 gray balance and neutral tone curves and is capable of delivering G7 proofs and print products.   The G7 Master qualification mark means that UNIMAC Graphics uses the most modern technology, techniques, proofing, press controls, and standards required from proof to print.

Why are print buyers making G7 a requirement?  A buyer may want to purchase marketing collateral, packaging and POP with the same brand imagery.  Clearly the substrate, gamut and other print characteristics will vary for the different print products, but if all the print products have the same gray balance and neutral tonality defined by G7, they will look remarkably alike to the human eye.  Since visual appearance across print products is critical, many print buyers now make G7 a buying requirement.

What this means to our customers is an even higher level of accuracy and consistent color quality for their print projects.  Faster make ready times, and reduced paper waste also adds to UNIMAC Graphics on-going sustainability program.
