Meteor DP60 Pro multi-substrate digital press – NEW Super Format printing
With the introduction of Super Format printing for the award-winning Meteor DP60 Pro, MGI offers yet another advantage that no other digital press can match. Users can print on sheets from 4" x 6" (100 x 150 mm) up to 13 x 47" (330 x 1194 mm) – the widest cut sheet range of any digital press. The extended size sheets are fed through the air feed system and offset feeder table on the Meteor DP60 Pro, an MGI exclusive feature which guarantees precise registration at production speeds. Sheets up to 13 x 26" (330 x 650 mm) can be accommodated by the standard factory configuration; an optional kit extends the Meteor DP60 Pro's feeder table in order to accommodate sheets up to 13 x 40.15" (330 x 1020 mm). Sheets up to 13 x 47" are fed via manual bypass and do not utilize the offset feeder table/air feed system.
 
MGI's new Super Format options allow users to produce an even wider range of applications, including book covers, banners, tri-fold brochures or mailers, calendars, panoramic posters and folders, as well as gang runs.
 
The most versatile digital press in the industry, the Meteor DP60 Pro can handle paper weights from 20 lb bond up to 130 lb cover  (70 to 350 gsm) and plastics from 4 mil up to 16 mil (from 100µ up to 400µ). Compatible substrates include CS1/CS2, bond, Bristol and art/textured papers; PVC, polyester, polycarbonate, PET, polypropylene, vinyl and Teslin, as well as envelopes and certain specialty substrates such as canvas/buckram. The Meteor DP60 Pro is designed for higher volume applications, producing up to 3900 A4/letter pages per hour in brilliant 2400 dpi @ 200 lpi resolution with full variable data. Other MGI exclusive features include an IR module/ climate control system and pre-loaded substrate profiles (allowing the user to switch between paper and plastics in a matter of minutes). With the addition of the EnvelopExpress, printers have a digital solution for 4-color envelope printing with continuous feed capabilities.

JETvarnish digital inkjet spot UV coater – 20" x 29" / 52 x 74 cm format
At PRINT 09, MGI will present the 20 x 29" / 52 x 74 cm format JETvarnish, the revolutionary and award-winning digital inkjet spot UV coater. The 100% digital JETvarnish can handle runs from one to thousands with ease with full variable data capabilities.  Computer controlled drop-on-demand print heads allow for precise spot coverage and the integrated UV lamp enables instant drying and immediate handling.
