Pageflex 6.0 Released

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-January 9, 2008 - Pageflex, a division of Bitstream Inc. and a leading developer of enterprise variable publishing and web-to-print solutions, today announced the availability of Pageflex 6.0. This release builds on the Pageflex tradition of customer-focused innovation, and provides users with a comprehensive solution for creating, producing, and managing marketing campaigns. Pageflex 6.0 gives marketers an easy and robust way to track and analyze all aspects of their campaigns, providing them with the critical information needed to evaluate the return on their marketing investment. This release includes three new capabilities:
Pageflex Campaign Manager streamlines the process of creating a multi-faceted cross media campaign, while providing robust reporting capabilities to track a campaign's success
Flash-based version of the award-winning Free Edit application for Pageflex Storefront, enhancing Flash capabilities for online document editing to include the sophisticated text and document composition features that define the Pageflex product line
Updates to theintegrated Adobe PDF Library, adding support for several key properties in Adobe PDF documents

Pageflex 6.0's enhanced tracking capabilities provide marketers an accurate, detailed account of the effectiveness of each tool used in a comprehensive campaign, such as email, personalized URLs and landing pages, and direct mail. A simple, menu-driven interface allows users to define each step of the campaign. A customizable tracking website then specifically measures their effectiveness in real time, aiding in the delivery of quantifiable results.

In addition to the automation features of Pageflex Campaign Manager, Pageflex 6.0 also includes an update to the award-winning Free Edit application for Pageflex Storefront. Pageflex was the first company to introduce an interactive online editor and has long set the standard with its robust editing capabilities. This release builds on this success by adding support for the popular Adobe Flash platform and the use of DHTML to display a context-sensitive editing interface on-the-fly. This enhancement enables Free Edit users to enjoy the full power of Pageflex composition technology - including the ability to flow text on a path, automatic hyphenation, and other professional-level typographic controls - within the highly accessible Flash platform.
