Pazazz Installs HP Indigo Digital Press ws4500

Press release from the issuing company

Montreal, August 28, 2007 - Pazazz, a leading independent printing company based in Montreal, announced today an investment of over one million dollars in the latest high-tech digital and finishing equipment, in conjunction with its integrated label company, Phase 2.  The acquisition reinforces Pazazz's status as a unique, full-service, one-stop-shop for printing solutions.
Pazazz has the distinction of being the first label converter in Canada to purchase and install the new HP Indigo Digital Press ws4500.  As the premier brand in digital printing solutions, HP's Indigo is the most productive, cost-effective digital unit in the industry.  Pazazz is also the first company in Canada to purchase and install ABG International's Omega Digicon HS finishing equipment with sheeting capability.
The addition of these two pieces combined with the flexo presses creates a powerful solution with respect to label printing and finishing services.  It's a one-of-a-kind configuration that offers efficiency and convenience previously unseen in the trade.  The synthesis of these units offers a significant advantage by allowing flexible short print runs and large-volume runs at any time.  Pazazz's clients can now easily print anywhere from one to an unlimited quantity of labels because the automated set-up allows for tremendous flexibility.  This means you can print as much as you need, not as much as the printer needs you to print in order to justify a run.  Say goodbye to paying for unwanted surplus inventory!
"Pazazz is a value-added solution provider.  We truly listen to our clients and then search for the most forward-thinking and effective solutions for them," explains Warren Werbitt, President and CEO of Pazazz.  "Our clients were increasingly requesting the option for short-run, flexible, colour printing - often with variable data and/or personalisation.  Not only did we answer their call, but we tracked down the finest equipment the industry has to offer," added Werbitt.
The HP Indigo Digital Press ws4500 joins a host of offset digital and flexographic presses at Pazazz's printing facility and was chosen because of its colour quality, speed and accuracy. ABG International's Omega Digicon HS unit provides a wide range of finishing options, including: die cutting, lamination, hot foil stamping and more.  Shawn Werbitt, President of Phase 2 Labels, extols the new units, "We're excited to offer faster turnaround, superior colour quality and more flexible packaging options on shrink sleeves, variable data printing and a variety of other substrates.  Besides offering a competitive edge in marketing, digital label production is the perfect complement to our current flexographic tools.  Now, we have it all!"
The addition of the two machines to the current selection of state-of-the-art presses at Pazazz positions the company at the forefront of the industry - a particularly notable achievement for a privately-owned enterprise.
