BALTIMORE (August 27, 2007) –  Vertis Communications announced today the addition of Damon Snyder as the vice president of operations for the Chalfont, Pa., Direct Marketing division, reporting directly to senior vice president and general manager, Dave Colatriano. Prior to joining Vertis, Snyder served as president of Lehigh Direct where he successfully led the company through significant growth and improved EBITDA performance.
"As the Chalfont facility continues to expand, we were looking for a candidate who possessed the right qualities and we are thrilled to have found these in Damon," said Colatriano. "With more than 20 years in the industry, he brings vast experience in strategic planning and process improvement. Additionally, his extensive business contacts and proven track record driving market share, new product initiatives, and customer service are instrumental for our growth."
Snyder first joined Lehigh Direct in 1998 as senior vice president of operations for the company"s Broadview, Ill., facility. Snyder was later promoted to president, where he initiated and developed marketing strategy for the automotive and retail sectors, drove record sales for the company in 2004, and launched the most successful new product in the company"s history. Before joining Lehigh, Snyder worked for Quebecor Printing Direct Group in Boston, and Banta Direct Marketing Group in Danbury, Conn.
Snyder holds an MBA in finance from the University of Tulsa, and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Luther College.
