Augsburg, Germany, May 24, 2007 – PrintCity welcomes new member Procemex, a leading supplier of camera based web monitoring & web inspection systems to the alliance and its publishing, commercial & web activities. Procemex is a machine vision company based in Jyväskylä, Finland, and since 1990 the same core team has been continuously providing leading edge image processing innovations for troubleshooting paper related processes. This technology is today also being used by many of the leading web offset and gravure printers in Europe. Procemex is a specialist in filming and analyzing web breaks, web defects and in general printing press runnability problems. It helps its customers solve printing press efficiency concerns relating to paper, process and machinery. This is done by combining innovative camera based technology, both for improving printing press efficiency and inspecting paper quality.
