Karat North America Celebrates New Headquarters at Open House

Press release from the issuing company

Fairfield, NJ; Karat Digital Press, designer, manufacturer and marketer of the 74 Karat digitally-integrated offset press, held an Open House on Tuesday, November 28, 2000 to celebrate its new North American headquarters at 41 Plymouth Street, Fairfield, NJ. The more than 150 guests who joined Karat North America staff at the evening event were treated to demonstrations of the 74 Karat press in Karat's new demo facility as well as to remarks by Karat North America President Steve Zunde, Karat Digital Press CEO Avigdor Bieber, Vice President of Operations Jens Junker, and Yoav Chelouche, President and CEO of Scitex Corporation. The new facility houses Karat North America's administrative offices and features a demonstration facility with its own prepress capability and a fully operational 74 Karat press. In his remarks at the Open House, Steve Zunde called the new headquarters and expansion into the North American market the result of keen vision on the parts of Karat parent companies Scitex Corporation and KBA, both of which saw the potential for a new breed of digital offset press. He also said that Karat is well positioned to satisfy the growing demands of a market that is increasingly dependent upon high-quality, short-run printing. "This remarkable piece of engineering, called the 74 Karat press," he said, "is the right product at the right time."
