Fry Communications Receives FSC Chain of Custody Certification

Press release from the issuing company

Mechanicsburg, PA — 6/14/07 — Fry Communications, Inc. recently earned qualification and received Chain of Custody Certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). This certification confirms Fry’s ability to ensure the integrity of a product printed on FSC-certified paper. Fry’s CoC Certification allows customers who choose FSC-certified paper to use the FSC trademarks on their printed pieces and identify themselves as being FSC compliant. Only companies with CoC Certification can properly use these trademarks.

The Forest Stewardship Council certification system is the only system that is endorsed by the Environmental Paper Network, World Wildlife Fund, Forest Ethics, Natural Resources Defense Council, and hundreds of other environmental organizations.

FSC’s model of certification allows products that flow from certified forests to enter the marketplace with a credential that is unique. Any FSC labeled product can be traced back to a certified source. This aspect of the system is the basis for any credible certification system and is the link between consumer preference and responsible, on the ground forest management.

The CoC certification underscores Fry’s concerted and continuing company effort to apply environmentally sound processes in all its manufacturing operations.
