Pittsburgh, PA February 13, 2007 -- MarketPlace Direct today announced they have added a DI digital offset printing to their commercial and retail capabilities. The new, ultra-modern service is now available to our customers beginning immediately. This is a quantum leap in offset printing The new state-of-the-art DI press uses industry-leading laser imaging and thermal plate technology. It can deliver true four-color, offset printing within hours of the time the customer’s digital file arrives at MarketPlace Direct. DI is a revolutionary printing technology invented by Presstek, Inc., of Hudson, NH. They couple their patented system with the best four-color offset printing presses in the world to create an entirely new device: a DI digital offset printing press. "This is a quantum leap in offset printing," says MarketPlace Direct’s CFO Jim Kaufman and we’re thrilled to be bringing it to Pittsburgh. The days are gone when customers had to wait a week or more for even the simplest four-color offset jobs. Pricing will be economical for four-color runs from as low as 100 copies all the way up to 20,000 or more." Marketplace Direct is joining an elite group of printers worldwide, all members of Presstek’s exclusive Club DI, who are among the first to offer DI printing in their markets. Jim Kaufman points out, "As Club DI members, we’ll receive the latest bulletins, software updates, and operational advisories immediately, so we can pass these improvements on to our customers in the form of tangibly improved printing. In other words, as part of Club DI, we’ll be starting with the best – and making it better."
