KODAK MARKETMOVER Network Enrolling Members Nationwide

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Feb. 12 -- Introduced just four months ago, KODAK MARKETMOVER Network has already enrolled members nationwide and is exceeding expectations set for the launch of the program. Kodak is showcasing the innovative commerce network to PODi Application Forum attendees and demonstrating the program’s ability to leverage technology to boost sales volume. “We’ve been adding customers because of the KODAK MARKETMOVER Network. Companies with franchise locations in different parts of the country really like this service. We’ve added Smoothie King to our client list since joining the network and we converted PJ’s Coffee, an existing customer, over to MARKETMOVER Network,” said Ashley Abbott, President of Mpress in New Orleans. “They’re able to effectively manage brand standards on multiple pieces, while personalizing materials for different locations. The network’s e-commerce platform is easy to use and it even automatically computes freight charges accurately so there are no surprises.” “We are seeing a significant response to the way the KODAK MARKETMOVER Network connects print providers to an expanded pool of marketers who need printing services. The promise of digital printing technology and applications such as web to print and print on demand really come to life with a backbone like the MARKETMOVER Network,” said Jeff Hayzlett, Chief Marketing Officer, Graphic Communications Group, Eastman Kodak Company. “We already have customers doing significant business through the network. The PODi Application Forum is the perfect place to update our customers about the positive business implications of this new tool.” The PODi Applications Forum takes place from Feb. 12-14 in Anaheim, Calif. Kodak’s robust print on demand portfolio will be on display during the Vendor Exhibition Fair on Feb. 13 starting at 5 p.m. Attendees will be able to see color and black and white digital production presses, high volume inkjet printers, direct imaging systems and workflow software. “Part of the reason we signed up with the KODAK MARKETMOVER Network is Kodak’s approach and the transactional fee model where Four51 is paid based on actual usage. It is much easier to attract smaller and mid sized customers to the MARKETMOVER Network because it does not have monthly fees or hosting costs,” said John Watson, President of Premium Color in Clifton, N.J. “We’ve already signed up customers who are using the network to transact business and we plan to roll it out to the rest of our customers.” Printers joining the KODAK MARKETMOVER Network, powered by Four51, have access to the latest technology to build partnerships with other printers, expanding the opportunities to efficiently outsource projects. All KODAK solutions providers can join the MARKETMOVER Network. KODAK NEXPRESS digital production color press owners will be the initial suppliers, but the MARKETMOVER Network will expand during the next year to include other KODAK solutions providers as well. The MARKETMOVER Network will help printers increase margins and operate their businesses more efficiently. Four51, a leader in creating commerce networks, is supplying technology, administration and marketing support for the MARKETMOVER Network. Four51, a Minnesota based firm founded in 1999, has helped set up thousands of private commerce networks and today has more than 500,000 users. The MARKETMOVER Network is already one of the largest private commerce networks in the world. According to Hayzlett, the MARKETMOVER Network is a powerful tool for marketers because they have access to quality printers with the capabilities to handle nearly any type of printing need. The MARKETMOVER Network is not an auction or bidding site. It matches marketing managers and print buyers with the best available resources to get jobs printed efficiently and effectively. MARKETMOVER Network members are better able to serve their customers by having access to a global network, enabling them to add new services and better manage the technology they have today. “We are using the KODAK MARKETMOVER Network to serve the needs of a large customer that has quite a few users who order products,” said David Esser, Vice President of Marketing with Kutztown Publishing in Kutztown, Pa. “The web portal offers an excellent tracking and reporting system. The client is given a tracking number that follows the job through the approval steps and right through the billing process. There are no surprises. We plan to use the MARKETMOVER Network to market to other large institutions.” KODAK MARKETMOVER Network members can expand their workflow beyond the brick and mortar of their business locations, opening a range of options to meet their customer needs. This will enable Kodak customers to build revenue by marketing new services to their clients while managing the printed output through a distribute and print network. Enterprises will be able to maximize their return on marketing programs while leveraging print on demand to save on shipping and inventory costs. KODAK products are backed by KODAK Service and Support. Named Best Support Organization at the 2006 International Business Awards, KODAK Service and Support includes more than 3,000 professionals in 120 countries.
