GMC Software Technology to Showcase PrintNet Solutions Suite at Hunkeler innovationdays 2007

February 1, 2007 – Lucerne and Appenzel, Switzerland – GMC Software Technology, setting the New Standard in personalized communications, today announced that it will showcase a range of new version enhancements to its PrintNet solutions suite during the Hunkeler innovationdays 2007 being held in Lucerne, Switzerland, from February 5 through 8. During the show, GMC will present a range of PrintNet personalized document design and production application demonstrations including joint demonstrations with Xerox and Kern. GMC PrintNet is a completely integrated, end-to-end software solution for the design, production and delivery of multi-channel personalized communications. It provides a single platform for producing all types of personalized documents — statements, invoices, bills, direct mail, marketing documents, catalogs, campaign kits, booklets and trans-promotional materials — for print and electronic delivery. Among the many new PrintNet enhancements that GMC will preview at innovationdays 2007 are: Web-based interactive document creation/editing • Provides event-driven document creation based on standard templates • End-users can add or modify content such as images, free-flow text or scripted messages • Supports Flash and non-Flash environments Advanced PDF capabilities • Import of PDF files as a group of editable objects, not just image files • PDF to anything support (output directly to print protocols without pre-conversion) In addition, GMC and Kern will jointly exhibit PrintNet and Kern’s mailFactory solution for zero defect production capabilities that include: • Monitoring of production processes • Seamless checking and logging of the mailing process • Required / actual comparisons • Automatic follow-up production • Redundancy control (prevents production of duplicates) • Controlled multi-channel dispatch PrintNet is built on open standards for integration into existing technology environments, with the flexibility and scalability to grow as a business grows.
