Questex Expands With Acquistion Of Imaging Network

Press release from the issuing company

NEWTON, MA – June 7, 2007 – Questex Media Group, Inc. announced today that it has acquired Imaging Network, a leading business-to-business multimedia marketing company serving the office products channel with the award-winning, Las Vegas-based ITEX (Imaging Technology Education and Exposition) tradeshow,  imageSource, Office World News and Office Furniture and Design publications, e-newsletters, and Web sites and strong custom publishing unit.  Co-founder and president Marc Spring will continue to lead the business from Imaging Network’s current headquarters in Ft Lauderdale, FL.

“Imaging Network’s assets fit perfectly in our strategy to expand our offerings serving the business and document solutions market. Their leading publication imageSource and the ITEX tradeshow are highly-complementary to our market-leading ON DEMAND Digital Printing & Publishing Conference and Exposition, AIIM Expo and the client base we serve through InfoTrends, the world’s leading provider of market data, research and strategic advisory services to the business, document solutions and digital imaging markets,” said Kerry Gumas, Questex Media's president & CEO.

“The addition of Office World News and Office Furniture and Design publications to our portfolio provides us an additional audience channel for our clients in other markets to reach decision makers purchasing technology, systems and design for their businesses, and a source of important information for the 3 million small and mid-market business owners and executives we serve on the web, in print and face-to-face in other markets,” added Gumas.

“This agreement is an excellent move forward for Imaging Network customers,” said Marc Spring, president and co-founder of Imaging Network. “While my partner and wife Barbara Bertani Spring and I weren’t actively looking for a buyer, Questex was interested and expressed to us a vision and strategy for the market that was completely consistent with ours, providing us the opportunity to continue to offer complete business information solutions for providers and users in the business and document solutions, office products, and design arena with access to customers and resources through their related businesses.  We are very excited about leveraging the strengths and resources of Questex Media and InfoTrends’ research and data for all our customers,” added Spring.
