QuadTech announces 5% price increase on equipment

Press release from the issuing company

1/12/07 -- QuadTech will be initiating its first price increase in three years. Effective January 1, 2007, a 5% increase will affect equipment sales throughout the world. The increase reflects two factors affecting QuadTech’s business: First, QuadTech is passionate about its ability to positively influence the success of printing businesses by continuously improving the products and services it provides. In this fast-moving industry, the development of new technologies and techniques also needs to accelerate to enable printing companies to keep pace with their customers’ own changing needs. QuadTech is committed to continuous product development and improvement. Second, the prices of component parts, from which QuadTech builds its main equipment, have been rising steadily. According to the Producer Price Index for the Printing Industry, a recent spike has sent the prices of component parts to an all time high since 2000. QuadTech has absorbed these increases wherever possible. However, the company is not willing to fight these inflationary influences by compromising on quality, using lower-priced components. Due to this philosophy, QuadTech aims to continuously exceed the product quality and reliability of competitive market offerings.
