PALO ALTO, Calif., June 8, 2007 – HP today announced that Des Moines-based Label Advantage, Inc. is expanding its range of offerings for the retail and pharmaceutical industries with the HP Indigo press ws4000.  Specializing in customized label converting, Label Advantage selected the digital press to provide its label customers with medium- and small-quantity orders, as well as faster turnaround times.

Printing in up to seven colors, the HP Indigo press ws4000 is designed to cost-effectively produce high-quality labels on-demand at high speeds.  Its speed, quality and variable data capabilities allow label printers and converters like Label Advantage to gain a competitive advantage and react immediately and profitably to new business trends.

“Digital printing is vital to the growth and expansion of the print industry today, providing a faster turnaround on variable designs at an affordable and profitable price tag,” said Rich Raimondi, vice president and general manager, U.S. Graphic Arts Business, HP Imaging and Printing Group.  “Customer requirements are changing all the time and in adding HP Indigo digital print technology to Label Advantage’s existing flexo operation they can efficiently meet these demands.”

Label Advantage is also leveraging the power of the HP Indigo Capture program, a comprehensive offering of business development tools and training, to drive revenue and profit growth for HP customers.

“The HP Indigo Capture program has really surpassed our expectations,” said Weisner.  “The extensive and ongoing digital printing educational programs that HP offers have given us the tools to enter into new markets, and proactively target more salesand  profit opportunities.”
