xpedx more than doubles footprint in Connecticut,deepens commitment to New England

MIDDLETOWN, Conn., December 19, 2006— xpedx this week opened the doors of its new 85,000-square foot distribution/logistics center and offices in Middletown, Connecticut. The newly constructed facility, located at 425 Timber Ridge Road, expands the xpedx service capabilities in New England while more than doubling the company’s footprint in Connecticut. xpedx operations in Connecticut previously were in a smaller facility in West Haven. The new Middletown facility opened Monday, Dec. 18. The company’s 30-person Connecticut workforce includes management, sales, customer service, warehouse, transportation and office employees. The new facility also features a packaging demo center and an expanded paper sample room. The xpedx Connecticut division serves a growing customer base of commercial and in-plant printers, publishers, manufacturers, retailers, facility managers and other businesses. Middletown is in the geographic center of Connecticut, enabling quick distribution to all points statewide. Other xpedx New England operations are in Wilmington, Mass. and Portland, Maine.
