Xplor Document University to Host Keynote and Panel

Press release from the issuing company

Lutz, FL - December 18, 2006 - Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association today announced an the addition of a keynote address and panel discussion to the Xplor Document University in conjunction with Graphics of the Americas/Xplor Exhibition at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami Beach, Florida. Taking place Thursday, March 1, 2007 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, the keynote titled "Cross Media Publishing: Enhancing your Customer Relationships" will be delivered by Charlie Pesko, founder and president of InfoTrends and industry expert. With more than 35 years of experience, Mr. Pesko has provided research and consulting services for virtually every major player in the worldwide digital imaging and document solutions industries. He will share the stage with senior industry leaders including representatives from Adobe, Compass Capital, IBM, Kodak, Nipson, OcÈ and Xerox. "Until recently, most of our customer communications have taken the form of printed documents, including account statements and invoices," said Skip Henk, EDP, president and CEO of Xplor International. "Today, the definition of the document continues to change, as successful companies must now understand the marriage of human behavior, new technologies and new communications mediums." This session will explore the development of cross-media publishing strategies that will serve an organization in forging deeper relationships with its customers. Topics to be covered include: -- The changing business of document communications -- Cost-effective creation of information that can be published and delivered in different formats -- Capturing attention through the use of color -- How effective one-to-one communications can enrich direct marketing programs "According to an InfoTrends study on multi-channel communications, over 50% of an organization's content has shifted to an 'electronic-first' delivery model," said Charile Pesko, founder and president of InfoTrends. "As a result, the growing number of channels and the need to capture attention has made effective customer communication more complex than it has been in the past. As the range of media that needs to be supported expands, it challenges an organization's ability to manage information and processes to communicate effectively and consistently." Announced earlier this year, Xplor's Document University an ongoing program of technical, executive and professional development programs and products designed to provide members and the electronic document industry with education tools needed to excel in today's professional environment. Xplor plans to introduce a variety of educational program that make use of social media including webinars, blogs, podcasts and video in addition to their annual conference, February 28 through March 4, 2007 in conjunction with Graphics of the Americas at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
