Eric Hegdahl joins Graphic Systems Group

NEW YORK -- December 11, 2006 -- Graphic Systems Group, considered to be the largest production agency in the U.S., today announced the appointment of Eric Hegdahl to the position of Marketing Technology Officer. Graphic Systems Group (or GSG) is renown for its work with many of New York's most prominent marketers, including Major League baseball, Citibank, Elizabeth Arden, Maybelline, Revlon, Estee Lauder, NBC, and AÈropostale. Hegdahl comes to GSG with over 15 years of technical and prepress experience in the graphic arts and printing industry. At GSG, he will report directly to owner and partner Ken Madsen and will be responsible for assisting clients in optimizing workflow efficiencies through training and educational seminars. And, he will assist GSG clients in better understanding how marrying business process management with technology can enhance the impact of their marketing campaigns. About Eric Hegdahl Mr. Hegdahl is a 1991 Northeastern University graduate (Bachelor of Science, Graphic Communications) who has devoted his career to printing and publishing technologies. He's held positions of increasing responsibility at several major graphic arts firms, including the National Association of Desktop Publishers, Graphic Express (in Boston), Manhattan Color Graphics The Colorwheel (8 years as Prepress Manager), and Plant Manager positions at both DOTS, and American Color. He recently left Fuel Digital (a high-end retouching and graphic arts company in NYC) as the company's Vice President of Technology to join GSG. Mr. Hegdahl is also an active member of several industry associations, including IDEAlliance, P3 (Partnership in Print Production), and The Advertising Production Club of New York, a trade association for professionals and students in the graphic communications industry. In addition, he teaches graphic arts-related courses at City University of New York, College of Technology in Brooklyn and is on the Board of Directors for the Xinet Users Group.
