Nov 27, 2006 -- PLM plans to expand its Packaging Pre Press and Digital Large Format Operations. PLM's Optium Division relocate from its current location in Don Mills to a new state of the art building within its current Markham based facilities during 2007. "PLM is committed to the agency pre press, packaging pre press and digital large format printing operations currently housed at Optium. However, our current location does not provide adequate room for expected future growth and expansion. With the addition of the new building adjacent to our existing Markham campus, we now have an opportunity to re-engineer our operations in order to provide for long term growth in our direct mail and print on demand operations as well as merge, expand and capitalize on Optium's potential within our Markham facility," commented Barry N. "A move would have been inevitable at the end of the existing facility lease which expires in 2008; acquiring this new building adjacent to our existing plants provides an ideal solution and has accelerated this decision." "As with Mailer Magic, which we acquired in 2003 and incorporated into our Markham facility, we believe that moving Optium to Markham will provide significant opportunities for growth as Optium's and PLM's customers become acquainted with the full range of products and services offered by the combined businesses. In addition, we will be modifying our three other buildings to further streamline our expected growth in packaging, print on demand, direct mail and digital large format printing.
