Cabinet NG Ships CNG-SAFE 5.8 Document Management for Small and Medium Sized Businesses

Press release from the issuing company

Huntsville, Alabama, November 14, 2006 - Cabinet NG, the preeminent automated document management and workflow solution for small and medium sized businesses (SMBs), today announced release of the latest version of its Shared Access Filing Environment (CNG-SAFE). CNG-SAFE 5.8 delivers powerful new features that affirm its position as the most affordable and comprehensive document management and workflow platform for small and medium sized businesses. The newest version offers "Dynamic WorkFlow," a critical enhancement for CNG-SAFE, allows users to define rules that will route documents electronically based on a wide range of variables. For example, documents can now be routed into different approval workflows based on an invoices amount, customer name, or other defined criteria and processes that fit the business. The status of all in-process workflows are displayed and can be approved or rejected from just one computer screen. CNG-SAFE 5.8 also provides SMBs with other key upgrades including: - Enhanced Content Search - Enhanced content search provides robust text search across multiple Cabinets; - Convert, Scan and Export to PDF - Enables users to convert any image file format into a standard PDF; - Email Alerts - Gives users an email notification showing receipt of documents into their WorkFlow inbox and escalation notification delivery to managers or supervisors. "I am especially interested in CNG-SAFE 5.8's Dynamic WorkFlow capabilities and how it will help us electronically automate our invoice review and approval process. The enhanced full text search across cabinets is a new feature we definitely will find useful. One thing that has impressed me about Cabinet NG over the years is their desire to help us meet our document management needs through customer support, the Annual Users Conference, and major program enhancements like CNG-SAFE 5.8 to meet our changing needs," said Paul Markoff, Cabinet NG Coordinator, Comptroller of Maryland. In addition, the company also announced CNG-Books 4.0, a new release of its award winning document management solution for Intuit's QuickBooks. CNG-Books 4.0 provides upgrades that support the new workflow features of CNG-SAFE 5.8. Working together, CNG-Books 4.0 brings QuickBooks-centric financial workflows into the CNG-SAFE document management environment that enables customers to easily create integrated document workflows. For example, users can now route accounting transactions to workflow for approval before a document is entered into the QuickBooks application. CNG-Books 4.0 also supports enhanced document list viewing from within QuickBooks, and allows users to display all transactions in process from one screen and apply document and/or retention class. "We continue to add features to CNG-SAFE that enhance product capabilities and meet the growing needs of our customers. Features like Dynamic WorkFlow give customers a simple way to establish workflow rules that conforms with the way they want to run their business," said Andrew Bailey, President of Cabinet NG. "Furthermore, by continuing to integrate CNG-SAFE with key business applications like QuickBooks, ACT! and MS Outlook, we are providing customers with a direct and easy path to cohesive, firm-wide document management."
