Sandy Alexander Becomes EPA Climate Leader Partner

Press release from the issuing company

[Clifton, NJ November 10, 2006] – Sandy Alexander, a national leader in environmentally responsible graphic communications solutions, has announced its participation in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Leaders program. “Participating in the EPA’s Climate Leader Partnership takes us another step forward on the path toward sustainability,” said Sandy Alexander President and CEO, Roy Grossman. “This long-term commitment to cutting our greenhouse gas emissions is another way that Sandy Alexander is leading the printing industry in reducing its environmental footprint.” EPA’s Climate Leaders is an industry-government partnership that works with companies to develop long-term comprehensive climate change strategies. Climate Leaders partners represent a variety of industries and sectors, from manufacturers and energy providers to financial institutions and retailers. More than half of the EPA’s Climate Leader Partners are Fortune 500 companies. Each Partner inventories its emissions, sets a corporate-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goal, and reports information on its progress to the EPA. By reporting inventory data to EPA, each Partner creates a lasting record of its accomplishments. Partners also identify themselves as corporate environmental leaders and strategically position themselves in their market sectors as climate change policy continues to unfold. “Sandy Alexander’s voluntary participation in EPA's Climate Leaders program demonstrates a serious commitment to corporate social responsibility," said Kathleen Hogan, Director of EPA's Climate Protection Partnerships Division. "Sandy Alexander’s aggressive greenhouse gas reduction goal will help lead the way in improving our environment and reducing the risks of climate change."
