QuadTech Inks New Deal with Knepper Press Print Industry Leader Delivers Again

Press release from the issuing company

Sussex, WI, October 29, 2007 – QuadTech, Inc. today highlighted a new agreement with Knepper Press Corporation, a westernPennsylvania company that began as a small newspaper publisher in the 19th century and grew into the full service graphics arts producer it is today.
The challenge Knepper Press was facing was how to reduce makeready time and waste, while at the same time maintaining the consistent quality to which its customers are accustomed.  To that end, Knepper Press positioned itself at the forefront of high quality color by opting for the full slate of QuadTech color control products.
The QuadTech Color Control System will improve makeready and enhance productivity throughout Knepper's press run.  Along the way, it will even boost profitability by quickly locking in color and completing jobs faster.
Knepper choose the Quadtech Register Guidance System because it will ensure superb color-to-color registration for every print job.  Because the system utilizes a technology that QuadTech developed specifically for printing applications, it will deliver the performance needed in today's quality-conscious, high-speed pressrooms. Additionally, with the QuadTech Ribbon Control System, Knepper will realize improved quality and consistency - largely because it will monitor both print-to-cut and print-to-fold register, automatically correcting for any deviations in register.
Finally, all aspects of Knepper's operation will benefit from increased efficiency with the network-based ICON integrated software platform.  ICON will enable Knepper experts to run automated press controls from a single, centralized station.
"We're extremely pleased to be working with a company with a reputation for quality like Knepper Press," said Karl Fritchen, President of QuadTech. "As is the case with all of our customers, QuadTech is committed to providing Knepper with the best-in-class products and services. Our goal is to not only meet, but to exceed, our customer's expectations."
