San Diego, CA; October 31, 2006 -- TexPress, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Japan Network Service Co., Ltd., today announced the appointment of LexJet Corporation of Sarasota, FL as its exclusive distributor in the U.S. Effective immediately, LexJet is responsible for sales and support of the TexPress DSS-1800 II direct textile printing system and companion TexPress Light Fast Inks in the U.S. "Our distribution agreement with LexJet, coming on the heels of a terrific SGIA show, represents a major milestone for us because LexJet is a major force with a national presence in the wide format printing market, and the company has a first - class reputation for both sales and support," says Chuck Sharp, president of TexPress, Inc. "LexJet's market presence and the additional expertise gained from their acquisition of Sone Systems will help us continue the momentum we gained at SGIA where together we sold our initial inventory off the show floor." The TexPress DSS-1800 II is targeted as a solution for light weight flag and banner, trade show graphics and custom textile printing markets including theater curtains and backdrops and more. The machine eliminates the costs and inefficiencies inherent with multi-step dye-sublimation transfer technologies. It prints directly on untreated polyester fabric using specially developed TexPress inks. The result is vibrant, water - and light-fast prints that are outdoor durable for up to two years. "The TexPress DSS-1800 II is a great addition to our product line," says Dean Lambert, LexJet's vice president. "The killer feature of this printer is that it is literally a one-step process. There's no need for a transfer process of any sort, and it cuts the fabric during the printing process with built-in heat cutters." Lambert adds, "It's not the horizontal cuts that are so difficult and time-consuming; it's the continuous vertical cut as the material runs through the printer that can be problematic. The TexPress machine solves this problem with high-precision sensors that guide the heated elements as they cut, adjusting to the natural movement of the fabric as it spools through the printer." TexPress formally launched the DSS-1800 II at the SGIA show in Las Vegas in September 2006. The machine was first previewed in early April at the ISA International Sign Expo 2006 in Orlando, FL.
