Tanaseybert Buys Web Equipment of Graphic Management Inc.

Press release from the issuing company

October 24, 2006 — TanaSeybert, LLC, the largest privately held company for print management solutions in New York City, today announced that it has made a major expansion of its production capabilities by purchasing the equipment of Graphic Management Inc., a web and sheetfed plant located in Mountainside, NJ. TanaSeybert also has signed a long-term lease to operate in the 50,000-sq.-ft. facility, where production will be integrated and coordinated with activities at the company’s 140,000-sq.-ft. print manufacturing headquarters at 525 West 52nd Street in Manhattan. The new facility has a full complement of press and postpress equipment for all forms of commercial and package printing. The pressroom contains two full-size web presses including a six-color, 38" Heidelberg M-600 web with inline folding and sheeting. For sheetfed output, there is a six-color, 28" x 40" Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 102 with an aqueous coater and a drying extension. In the bindery are a 40" Bobst die cutting and blanking unit as well an array of saddle stitchers, folder-gluers, and cutters. These assets will be added to the high-capacity equipment that is already available in TanaSeybert’s Manhattan plant, which houses nine commercial sheetfed presses in a variety of configurations. This plant, occupying seven floors of a building acquired and fully refurbished by TanaSeybert last year, also offers a full bindery, mailing and fulfillment, premedia and online services, and a short-run division featuring a pair of six-color digital presses from HP. Eric Bernstein, managing partner of TanaSeybert, said, “We believe that the addition of equipment from Graphic Management will substantially increase our capabilities and capacity. We now own one of the newest and most modern commercial web presses in the tristate area, as well as a high speed, fully automated die cutter. Our goal is to become more competitive in the web printing marketplace as we continue to broaden the types of products and services we can offer our customers.” Bernstein noted that the addition of web equipment gives TanaSeybert the ability to produce whatever kinds of printing are needed by its customers, which include advertising agencies, Fortune 1,000 corporations, publishers, consumer products companies, designers, and many other businesses with headquarters or branches in New York City. David Jurist, chairman of TanaSeybert, said, “Our customers have asked us for one-stop, full-spectrum service, and this is our response. With the combined resources of our digital print and our sheetfed presses in Manhattan coupled with our new web equipment in New Jersey, we now can deliver everything our customers require—from runs of one to volumes in the many millions.”
