Digital Imaging Customer Exchange (DICE) Passes 300th Member Milestone

Press release from the issuing company

Oct 19, 2006 -- The Digital Imaging Customer Exchange (DICE), the user group for owners of high-end color digital presses, has just hit a significant milestone in its 12-year history, surpassing the 300 member company mark. The group was founded as the Indigo Customer Exchange (ICE) in 1995 and made the decision last year to broaden it's scope to also include Kodak and Xerox digital press customers. According to Michael Vinocur, Executive Director of DICE, "Though we continue to add new HP Indigo owners to our membership ranks, we've seen very strong growth from Kodak NEXPRESS and Xerox iGen owners. Vinocur adds, "We're excited to see that our email forums for the new platforms are starting to reach the critical mass necessary to really thrive the way our Indigo forum has. Additionally, we host a more business-oriented discussion group that is open to all platforms that has really benefited by the addition of greater diversity in our membership." Membership in DICE is free for the first year to qualifying companies. Annual dues are $495 per year per company thereafter. The association offers a series of email forums that encourage peer-to-peer communication to help members solve both production and business problems. On the production front, many members find DICE forums to be an invaluable supplement to the support they receive from their primary vendor. The DICE business forum allows members to learn from others' experiences with sales, marketing, business development and strategic planning. DICE also hosts regular webinars to help members learn about various technology solutions on the market and many members value the opportunity to meet fellow press owners at the group's annual meeting. DICE is currently preparing for its 2006 gathering, being held in Las Vegas, November 17-18. This meeting will mark another key event in the evolution of DICE as a new Board of Directors will be voted in that, for the first time, includes owners of all three of the major digital press platforms.
