Fourth Digital Print World Attracts Broad Interest as Pre-Registration Figures Soar

Press release from the issuing company

Digital Print World 2006 LONDON----Oct. 16, 2006-- Organisers IIR Exhibitions are pleased to announce that visitor pre-registration has increased by an impressive 30% compared to last year. "This puts us on target to achieve, or indeed exceed, the 4,300 people that visited the show in 2005 - which is excellent in an Ipex year," says Richard Gayle, Event Manager, DPW. The show has attracted strong interest from a wide range of printing sectors including commercial, high street, digital, on-demand, book and large format. Print buyers from a broad range of backgrounds including publishing, banking, government, education and retail have also signed up to the show. There is something for everyone at this year's DPW, not only are there a whole range of pre-press, printing and finishing solutions available, there are also plenty of seminars and learning opportunities open to the visitor. Several important names in the printing world, including Ricoh and Friedheim, are also exhibiting for the first time this year. "The mixture of industry leading exhibitors, product launches and educational features have attracted a record number of pre-registrations. I believe the increased awareness of the importance of digital printing in the future of the print industry has also contributed to increased interest in the show," says Charlie Hastings, Marketing Director, DPW. Chris Haines, Digital Manager of Cambrian Printers, gives his varied reasons for attending the show: "We are going to DPW to view a range of equipment. Primarily, we are looking to extend our variable data capabilities and want to see what choices are on offer. Additionally, we will look at small format finishing equipment and are interested in learning about the latest developments in web-to-print." The success of last year's show, DPW 2005, has recently been recognised. IIR Exhibitions won a prestigious 'Silver' award in the category 'Best Exhibition Marketing Campaign' at the Event Awards. DPW 05 was the only B2B event nominated and the award took into account the increased pre-registration and attendance figures compared with 2004 - and this year those figures are looking impressive again. "We are now an award winning and established show and are pleased to be building on the success of last year. Digital Print World is an important date in the diary for anyone involved in printing," adds Richard Gayle.
