GBC Digital Lay-Flat Film to be Demonstrated with Canon imagePRESS Digital Press Output at Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

Addison, IL, October 2006-- GBC, an ACCO Brands company and market leader in the manufacturing and distribution of laminating and binding products, today announced that Canon will showcase GBC’s Digital Lay-Flat Film on the Canon imagePRESS digital press output at Graph Expo 2006 in Chicago. GBC Digital Lay-Flat provides superior adhesion to toner-based prints. Digital Lay-Flat produces flat output with its patented solution to negate the effects of page curl due to humidity. Since prints can be laminated with Digital Lay-Flat immediately after printing, it is an ideal solution for digital prints like Canon’s imagePRESS™ output. The new imagePRESS C7000VP and imagePRESS C1 are poised to revolutionize the commercial print and graphic arts markets, delivering increased productivity to users and opportunities to drive higher profitability for printers. Engineered with versatility and productivity in mind, the imagePRESS C7000VP and imagePRESS C1, will deliver outstanding image quality at 70 pages-per-minute (ppm) in color and black-and-white, and 14ppm color and 60ppm black-and-white, based on letter-sized output, respectively. Both new imagePRESS devices use Canon's new generation color imagePlatform controller, Gloss Optimization technology, with finishing capabilities and improved toner to deliver job-to-job, day-to-day, and week-to-week color consistency that rivals offset quality printing.
