Jeff Hayzlett, CMO, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group, Honored by Sales & Marketing Executive International

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 12 -- A leading international sales and marketing organization has recognized Jeff Hayzlett, Chief Marketing Officer, Graphic Communications Group (GCG), Eastman Kodak Company, for his outstanding and exemplary volunteer service. Hayzlett accepted the Jack I. Criswell CSE award from Sales & Marketing Executive International (SMEI) at the organization's 71st Annual Sales & Marketing Leadership Conference in Akron, Ohio, Sept. 14 -18. "Jeff was chosen as the recipient of the award for his record of achievement in serving the organization and supporting the Five Founding Principles of SMEI, which include professional standards and identification, continuing education, sharing knowledge, assisting students and supporting the free enterprise system," said Willis Turner, President and CEO, SMEI. "Jeff's leadership in SMEI and commitment to advancing the marketing profession make him the ideal recipient of this prestigious award." Hayzlett has served SMEI as its Chairman, as well as Chairman of the SMEI Academy of Achievement and Chairman of the SME Foundation for Marketing Education. In addition to SMEI, Hayzlett serves in leadership roles in a number of other key business and marketing organizations, including: Business Marketing Association, Contract Packaging Association, Pi Sigma Epsilon National Education Foundation, Printing Industries Centres Insurance (UK), Printing Industry of America PrintPAC and the Public Relations Society of America. "It's an enormous honor to be recognized by the SMEI because it has done so much to advance the profession of sales and marketing," said Hayzlett. "The role of a marketing executive continues to evolve and it's important for organizations like the SMEI to advocate for marketers and train them to succeed in today's marketplace." In addition to accepting his award, Hayzlett spoke to attendees about the opportunities that corporate acquisitions provide marketers, including merging cultures to create a single vision for the future. Hayzlett used the GCG to illustrate the difficulties of building a new culture while not losing sight of core values, building brand equity, driving productivity, growing revenue, and serving and adding value to customers. With 25 years of international marketing, sales and customer relations management experience in the graphic communications industry, Hayzlett leads all marketing activities for the GCG, including product positioning, segment marketing, branding, marketing communications and customer development. He is also responsible for business research, marketing strategy and business development activity for GCG.
