Prior to developing BRIGL the following criteria was set forth by Amerikal, no use of SARA Title 313 or Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP's) chemicals, no use of acetone, surfactants or petroleum as raw materials. Additionally, BRIGL was required to have an open cup flash point greater than 200 degrees Fahrenheit and could not exceed 50 grams per liter of VOC's. BRIGL exceeds current and proposed municipal, district, state and federal VOC mandates (34.3 g/L) and waste wash from automatic systems may no longer be classified as hazardous.
