Press release from the issuing company

BURLINGTON, MASS – October 12, 2006 -- Nancy Plowman Associates, Inc. (NPA) today announced that NPA president and founder Nancy Plowman will be the keynote speaker at the Institute of Packaging Professionals New England Chapter’s October meeting. The program, titled “Understanding the Printing System,” is scheduled for October 19th in Westminster, Massachusetts. The evening address will emphasize the finer aspects of preventing and analyzing printing problems, with a special emphasis on how inks and coatings interact with various substrates, as it relates to package printing. Plowman is a distinguished 37-year veteran of the graphic arts industry and founded NPA in 1986. NPA is considered to be the leading graphic arts tester of printing supplies and paper. For more information on the event, go online (http://www.iopp.org/pages/index.cfm?pageid=145) or contact New England Chapter President, Jean Feldkamp (508-450-0404 or [email protected]). Nancy Plowman Quote “This technical presentation will address such issues as inks, boards, and coating properties, and their influence on the printing process,” noted Nancy Plowman, President, NPA. “The intercommunications between the leading packaging suppliers have been limited and cautious, at best. This has required NPA to perform its own research in determining how the printing materials interact with each other. At the presentation, I’ll be reporting upon our findings and what it means to today’s packaging professional.”
