RSA Launches CDPrint Lite for Streamlined Batch Printing

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY, September 25, 2006 - Rochester Software Associates (RSA) is introducing CDPrint Lite, a streamlined version of CDPrint Pro, RSA's powerful solution for automated printing of Electronic Data Discovery (EDD) files received on CD, DVD, USB drives or other media. CDPrint Pro has already found strong interest in Service Bureaus and Law Firms, where printing of EDD files received as part of litigation discovery is a labor-intensive process. Traditionally, an operator had to open each file in its native application, including Outlook .PST email files, and open each attachment, send it to the printer, and keep records for accounting purposes. This routine was both time-consuming and prone to error. With CDPrint, a Windows application running on a customer's PC, the entire process is automated. The operator specifies where the files are, and optionally which type of files to process, such as .xls, .pst, .doc but not .pdf. CDPrint automatically reads the files and sends them to the printer and/or converts them to PDF for archiving. Banner pages are inserted between documents and a Table of Contents is generated. Accounting details are recorded as well for charging based on Client/Matter Number. "Customers, especially Law Firms and Legal Service Bureaus, appreciate the time savings offered by CDPrint," said Anthony Leccese, Project Manager for CDPrint. "In addition to automating the process, users rely on the Table of Contents that is generated and the banner sheets printed at the beginning of each job to make printing and cost recovery easier." CDPrint Pro adds the option of routing the documents to QDirect, RSA's powerful output manager. CDPrint Pro also allows multiple PCs to submit jobs simultaneously, with output routed to multiple printers. CDPrint Pro also keeps even more detailed accounting logs for chargeback and cost recovery. CDPrint Pro and CDPrint Lite are available from all major printer vendors. A Flash Demo is available online at www.rocsoft.com.
