Printware Introduces Intelligent InkSetting Solution

Press release from the issuing company

ST. PAUL, MN, October 3, 2006 -- Printware, LLC, a long-time provider of innovative pre-press solutions, today announced the introduction of its new InkMonitor Connect ink-setting solution. InkMonitor Connect utilizes actual press performance to tune the prepress-generated CIP3/4 data. This more accurately sets press ink keys, resulting in reduced press make ready time, less paper waste and decreased ink usage which leads to enhanced productivity and increased efficiency. This new system will be demonstrated at the Graph Expo '06 Show in Chicago, October 15-18, 2006 in Booth 4665. "Not often are there solutions that are such no-brainers when it comes to ROI. We believe we have this in our new InkMonitor Connect. What makes InkMonitor Connect so unique is its ability to optimize the CIP3/4 data to a press's actual performance so that the ink keys are set more precisely for almost ANY press with a modern console. Additionally, it is not dependent upon JDF standards being in place. This is a major breakthrough for anyone who is trying to reduce their makeready waste and be more competitive," stated Jack Makowski, Vice President of Business Development. InkMonitor Connect is scaleable for any size pressroom, with options for an online interface for smaller operations and an offline interface for larger operations. It is faster and less expensive than plate scanners and easily configures for any plate size and number of ink ducts. InkMonitor Connect is another example of Printware's continuing effort to deliver ongoing value to its printing customers. InkMonitor Connect is part of a series of innovative solutions from Printware and its affiliate, HighWater Designs, being introduced this year.
