Ricoh Canada Earns Silver Award for Quality Excellence

Press release from the issuing company

TORONTO, Sept. 25 -- Ricoh Canada Inc., Canada's leading provider of high quality document and content management solutions, today announced that it has been recognized by the National Quality Institute with the Silver Award, in the Canada Awards for Excellence program. The Canada Awards for Excellence (CAE) is an annual awards program that recognizes Canadian organizations which, through a commitment to innovation, productivity, healthy workplace, and ethics, have demonstrated sustainable measures of continuous improvement. Recipient organizations have reported expanded market share, increased efficiency, enhanced international competitiveness, reduced costs, higher employee retention, and increased productivity. NQI's research shows that private sector recipients dramatically out-perform the TSE, S&P and the Dow Jones consistently over time. Ricoh Canada Inc. was assessed by the Institute through both a written submission and a series of on-site visits, each designed to measure Ricoh's progress relative to the Excellence criteria. Having successfully met or exceeded the standards as laid out by the NQI, the Silver Award will be officially received by Ricoh Canada President and CEO, Martin Brodigan, on behalf of the company at an awards ceremony on October 24th, 2006.
