Printware Introduces Simplified RIP User Interface

Press release from the issuing company

ST. PAUL, MN, September 21, 2006- Printware, LLC, a long-time provider of innovative pre-press solutions, today announced the introduction of its new PlateStream RIP PPM. Print Production Manager (PPM) is a highly simplified and powerful job manager for Printware's Torrent Harlequin RIPs. Customers can now access and control jobs using a web browser anywhere on their network through a greatly improved graphic user interface. Additionally, customers will see a significant reduction in time managing jobs because of PPM's new powerful multi-tier intuitive job search function and improved file naming scheme. "This new interface is a big step forward for printers who have long required a means of easy job search, management and re-queuing without having to commit to a complete workflow system. PPM runs on top of the existing PlateStream RIP so there are no changes needed to the base RIP," stated Jack Makowski, Vice President of Business Development. Now customers can gain the efficiencies of better job management for less than half the cost of a new RIP. The PlateStream RIP PPM is a prime example of Printware's continuing effort to deliver ongoing value to their customers. PPM is part of a series of innovative solutions from Printware and its affiliate, HighWater Designs, being introduced this year. This new interface will be demonstrated at the Graph Expo '06 Show in Chicago, October 15-18, 2006 in Booth 4665.
