Sandy Alexander's Florida Plant Earns ISO 14001 Certification

Press release from the issuing company

St. Petersburg, FL, September 21, 2006 - Sandy Alexander today announced that MGA, its printing facility in St. Petersburg, Florida, has been certified to the ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System standard. MGA attained certification to the ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard in 2005. With the certification of the MGA plant, Sandy Alexander becomes the only multi-site commercial printing concern to hold dual ISO certifications, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-of-Custody Certification, and operate on 100% clean, wind-generated electricity. "MGA's ISO 14001 certification is yet another demonstration of our commitment to reducing printing's impact on the planet," says Sandy Alexander President Roy Grossman. "The ISO 14001 structure helps us focus our environmental efforts and create initiatives that not only reduce on-site pollution and waste, but have positive upstream and downstream environmental benefits. This enables our clients to demonstrate their environmental commitment by choosing a printing partner that has long-term conservation as a core value."
