Visitors to Find "New Experience" at Agfa Graphics' Booth at Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

Ridgefield Park, NJ -- September 20, 2006 -- Agfa Graphics announced today that it will expand upon the traditional tradeshow format at Graph Expo in Chicago (October 15-18). In addition to the latest in CtP, proofing, workflow and software technologies, visitors to the Agfa booth (#4218) will be treated to live sessions on a variety of business development topics conducted by Agfa's employee experts and customers. They will offer valuable advice to help companies meet their business objectives. Experienced users of Agfa technology will also be available at the booth. Instead of listening to a pitch about product features and benefits, visitors will learn the advantages of client-to-print provider collaboration, Graphic Enterprise connectivity and other business-oriented topics. The outer corners of the booth will offer presentations and demonstrations highlighting the operational efficiencies achieved by using Agfa technology. They will include enterprise software, CtP and inkjet technology topics. The CtP corner, for example, will feature the :Avalon family of platesetters and their diverse imaging capabilities (thermal, violet chemistry-free thermal and chemistry-free violet), while one of the topics in the enterprise software area will tackle collaboration using :ApogeeX and :Delano software solutions. The interior of the booth will welcome visitors to participate in user panel discussions, business development consultations and technology and business sessions. Agfa will also arrange private consultation sessions on a variety of topics, including color management, networking and integration, and automated workflow. "While we want visitors to see the latest advances in technology such as true enterprise-wide automation, we also want to help them move their businesses in the right direction. That requires expertise that goes way beyond which platesetter or proofer to choose," said Susan Wittner, Agfa's director of marketing, North America. "It requires the experience of those customers who have already made the transition to full-scale automation and the advice of Agfa experts in areas such as enterprise solutions, networking and business integration. Our goal is to help companies learn something at the show that will help them achieve their business goals. We want them to walk away with a lasting experience that includes tools, new information and a network of experts and peers they can use as a resource. They need more than just new technology. Both our customers and industry surveys tell us that this is the most important part of a trade show or conference. They'll find it all at the Agfa booth."
