Agfa Graphics' Inkjet Innovations Grow Strongly in Latin America

Mortsel, Belgium - 18 September, 2006 - Agfa Graphics announced today that it has reached a milestone in the rapidly growing Latin American market for high-end inkjet printing systems. The company now has 50 installations in Latin America of the :Grand Sherpa Universal series, Agfa's popular range of wide-format printers. The 50 installations are with companies who want to grow their business with digital printing technology in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Venezuela. Worldwide installations total 500 wide-format printers. The :Grand Sherpa Universal has earned an excellent reputation for high-quality output, thanks also to Agfa's new fourth-generation inks. These inks give better adhesion, brighter colours and faster drying times while creating safer working conditions for operators and the environment. Prints are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications such us signage, banners and POP. Expanding Portfolio. Expanding its portfolio of innovative industrial inkjet technology, Agfa Graphics has introduced :Anapurna UV-Curable printers for indoor and outdoor applications. :Anapurna prints onto rigid as well as flexible substrates. This printer will be available in Latin America next year, but is already making headlines since its North American launch at ISA in Orlando, last April. The new :Anapurna is capable of printing white ink for special applications.
