Press release from the issuing company

NEW YORK, NY, Sept. 8, 2006 -- Anyone who is involved in signing off on print jobs needs to learn the facts and fictions about virtual proofing. An interactive panel discussion on "Virtual Proofing: the Real Story Behind the Hype," sponsored by the Association of Graphic Communications (AGC) and moderated by David Luke (The Form House), will be held on September 26 (5:30-8:30 pm) at Agfa Corporation, Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. Panelists to date include: Vivian Cunningham (Young & Rubicam), Robyn Koeppel (Time4Media), and Doug Landon (Integrated Color Solutions). Attendees will have a chance to interact with these and other industry leaders-ad agencies, publishers, designers, vendors and printers-to gain a rounded perspective of the new phenomenon that is impacting the way business is done today and will be in the future. Networking and serving of light refreshments will commence at 5:30 p.m., with the program following from 6:30-8:30. This is the first program offered by AGC in its new GEM (Graphics Education and Management) series. The Association will sponsor GEM events at different locations throughout the year to provide an opportunity for networking and education about the latest trends and technologies in the industry from experts within their fields. To register, contact Diane Chavan at AGC, 212/279-2100, ext. 109, [email protected]. Fees: $40 for AGC, APC or P3 members; $50 non-members. Register a colleague at the same time and each of them will receive $5 off.
