Markzware To Showcase Quality-Assurance Solutions At Graph Expo & Converting Expo 2006

Thursday, September 14, 2006

Press release from the issuing company

SANTA ANA, Calif.—September 12, 2006 -- Markzware, the leading developer of preflighting, data extraction and conversion software, will be exhibiting its full line of software solutions at the upcoming Graph Expo & Converting Expo 2006 trade show and conference, October 15-18, 2006. Markzware's exhibit will take place in Chicago's McCormick Place South, Booth No. 5122. Markzware will be proudly showcasing its full range of software solutions, including its flagship preflighting application, FlightCheck Professional v5.8. Sneak previews of the forthcoming FlightCheck 6 will be also available to all attendees. In addition, Markzware's exhibit will feature its latest conversion tools, including Q2ID (QuarkXPress to InDesign) and ID2Q7 (InDesign to QuarkXPress), newly released in August 2006. “I'd heard of Markzware's ID2Q plug-in, which will let you bring an Adobe InDesign file into QuarkXPress,” recalls Caleb Clauset, owner of 2cdesign in Silver Spring, Maryland. “And I was just waiting for Markzware to come up with a tool that would let you do the reverse—pull a Quark file into InDesign. I bought the software, installed it, and found that the coolest thing about it was that it is so thin. It's completely transparent [to my workflow]; it's the best kind of plug-in. You install it, hit ‘File,' ‘Open,' and InDesign opens your document. “Q2ID maps everything that Quark does to the InDesign equivalent,” Clauset adds. “If it's a table in Quark, it becomes a table in InDesign, and so on. When I thought about how much I'm billing per hour versus how much Q2ID costs, it was a no-brainer. The ROI is instantaneous.” “Our strategy at Markzware has always been to supply the print industry and its customers with practical, low-investment solutions that help them to ensure the integrity and agility of digital content,” explains Patrick Marchese, Markzware's president and CEO. “Markzware is celebrating over 10 years of exhibiting at Graph Expo, and we're looking forward to capping off the year with our appearance at Graph Expo & Converting Expo. We're proud to showcase our accomplishments—our leading solutions for preflighting and data conversion—and give the attendees a sneak peek into what we have in store next.” Markzware extends an open invitation to all editors and industry trade press who'd like to schedule an appointment to visit the exhibit, see demos of any of the company's software solutions, or to meet with Markzware executives on hand. To schedule your one-on-one with Markzware, contact Mary Gay Marchese, public relations manager, at (949) 756-5100, ext. 250, or email: pr@markzware.com.
