Dartmouth Printing Automates Plant with Gammerler SV 500 Log Stackers

Press release from the issuing company

Hanover Park, IL, September 12, 2006 - Gammerler, the leading manufacturer of inline finishing equipment, announced today the sale of an SV 500 Log Stacker to Dartmouth Printing in Dartmouth, New Hampshire. The new postpress equipment was purchased as part of a plan to expand capacity of the "short run" web printer. Jack Elliott, VP of Operations expressed, "the new equipment will enable our new press to deliver logs to our finishing department increasing output with out adding additional staffing". The log stacking equipment and related conveyors will be installed as a turnkey project. "We have had great success with Gammerler on other installations, and we are confident the SV500 will be another great addition to our pressroom", Elliott added. The SV 500 stacks products in a spine-first orientation, eliminating bindery lap damage and improving log quality. Copies drift naturally toward the back stop plate, decreasing the pressure needed to transport products throughout the stacker and reducing the potential for smearing. Easy to use, the SV 500 incorporates and accessible log chamber and a touch screen control panel with trouble shooting and remote diagnostic ability. Gämmerler Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gämmerler AG, Gerestried-Gelting, Germany, a leading provider of material handling and inline finishing solutions to the commercial and newspaper print markets.
