Telmex Reports Significant Benefits Using Exstream's Dialogue Software for Customer-focused Statement Initiative

Press release from the issuing company

LEXINGTON, Ky.--Aug. 23, 2006-- Exstream Software, Inc. today announced that Telmex, Central and South America's leading provider of telecommunications services with operations in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru, has achieved significant benefits using its Dialogue software as the company's single platform for creating and fully personalizing the more than 15 million transactional communications it sends to customers monthly. Telmex initially selected Dialogue to implement a new statement that puts more focus on the customer. Along with successfully creating a more user-friendly statement, the company reports Dialogue has decreased the time it takes to produce the statements by 40 percent through its high performance engine and elimination of steps in the previous document creation process--capitalizing on the software's ability to seamlessly integrate with the company's IBM On Demand electronic publishing system and its "design once, deliver anywhere" capability for multi-channel distribution. Telmex also attributes its success to the local support it receives from Mexico City-based Digipro, S.A. de C.V., Exstream's distributor of Dialogue throughout Colombia and Mexico. In addition to Dialogue's built-in features for delivering higher quality, fully personalized statements to the company's clients--like dynamic charting, variable content import and more--its sophisticated campaign management capabilities have made it possible for Telmex to execute complex marketing strategies by incorporating prioritized, rules-based messages into the communications for each recipient based on their specific profile. Enhancing the clarity of the statements with variable graphic images along with personalized messages that cross-sell and upsell additional products in the Telmex portfolio has significantly improved customer response to marketing offers. Additionally, the company reports that Dialogue's ease of use and collaborative design environment supports its distributed business processes by allowing users in marketing, finance and operations to independently create and maintain marketing messages and other content that is approved through the built-in workflow processes and dynamically incorporated into the new customer-focused statements at run time. "The Telmex statement is one of the most critical communication channels we have with customers," said Enrique de Leon, Telmex Marketing Media. "Dialogue's broad capabilities have exceeded expectations in meeting our goal to create a statement with greater focus on the customer. With Dialogue, Telmex has not only simplified the statement for our customers, but provided increased response to our marketing offers and decreased time and cost of the entire end-to-end statement production process. With a billing infrastructure as complex as ours, this is a huge accomplishment. It paved the way for upgrading our entire site with the latest printing technology from Oce; Dialogue allowed us to take advantage of the printer's photographic resolution and the highlight color option with great ease and flexibility." Going forward, Telmex plans to use Dialogue to support a massive electronic online statement project and use the software's advanced campaign management capabilities to automate the inclusion of follow-up campaign messages into the customer-focused statements based on response, or lack of one, to previous marketing campaigns. "It is very exciting to see Dialogue support Telmex's initiative to use the power of its billing statements for building stronger customer relationships, as well as helping the company deliver significant bottom-line results for its share holders," said Steve Whitman, EVP and general manager of international distribution for Exstream Software. "We are very happy that Dialogue is integral to delivering these benefits, and look forward to a long-term valued partnership with Telmex that delivers even more benefits in the future."
