Mitsubishi Imaging's New Color Proofing Solution Delivers Accurate, Fast Proofs With World-Class Diamond Jet Papers

Friday, August 11, 2006

Press release from the issuing company

RYE, NY – Mitsubishi Imaging (MPM), Inc., today announced the immediate availability of an optimized color-proofing solution featuring the high-performance, world-class line of Diamond Jet proofing papers. Using a new RIP proofing plug-in for Canon W6400 or W8400 imagePROGRAF Printers, the proofing solution lets small and medium-sized commercial printers achieve fast, consistent output to a proofer as well as a platesetter. The solution is designed to work with Mitsubishi’s RipMate RIP, which powers the DPX family of platesetters, and the SDP RIP, which drives the Eco1630III platesetter. “Mitsubishi’s new proofing solution is easy to use and helps us deliver accurate color proofs to our customers,” said Joe Mulligan, Owner of Minute Man Press in Jersey City, NJ. “In this competitive landscape, that’s a huge customer service advantage for us.” Colleen Molkenbur, Senior Product Manager of Mitsubishi Imaging, added, “In addition to optimized proofs, our new plug-in ensures file integrity since the same RIP is used to drive both proofer and platesetter.” The color proofing bundled solution comes with the new RIP proofing plug-in, a Canon W6400 or W8400 printer, Gracol 7 profile, starter roll of Diamond Jet Contract Proofing Paper and one set of inks. Both the plug-in and bundle are available to SDP RIP and RipMate customers through Mitsubishi’s authorized dealer network. To find a dealer, call 800 765 9384 x3232 or visit the Graphic Arts Division at http://www.mitsubishiimaging.com and select Dealer Locator.
